Unprecedented Increase of the minimum wage in England
Notice to future Londoners: Since 1 April 2016, the minimum wage greatly increases. It increases 7.5%, £7,20 per hour (9 euros) with the prospect of achieving £9 (11,30 Euros) per hour by 2020. The two countries separated by the channel have never been so close in term of minimum wage. Such an increase in a single blow had not taken place since more than 15years, excellent news for all those who want to work in London and whose salary for their first employment will probably be close to the minimum wage. That is a real policy which will increase the purchasing power of those most affected by the cost of living in London.
